Thank you for sharing this. I so recognize what you say. I think it was Clarissa Pinkola Estes said there are times in a woman's life when it's essential for her life that she doesn't stop to help others. Also I have observed - to my great surprise - that when I feed myself it often seems to nourish others close to me. I love your writing, especially the fascinating Erzya essays (I am half Finnish).
Thank you so much, Helena for the kindness of reading my words 🥰🙏🏻 I do agree! I know when I'm nourished, everyone benefits, but sometimes I feel like I have to claw it out too so it doesn't feel like nourishment at the end, just more labor...buuuut I'm working on it!
I was just having a pretty low moment when I´ve opened your post. I feel a little like seeing your post right at this moment was like you finding that butterfly. So for that, thank you.
I was wondering if you use tarot, and then I´ve seen a picture of some cards in the post. I pull for myself when I feel hopeless or lost, and it helps.
I'm sorry you're going through a low moment right now! I feel like we all are collectively being put through the wringer. I have a feeling we'll get some relief on the 11th, after the effects of the Full Moon will wear off.
I love tarot! I mostly use one deck that I've had for over 10 years, she knows me too well at this point😅
Thank you for opening up this raw part of yourself. I know I’m not alone in the comments saying that this helped me in a time where I feel stuck, with no where else to go. Please share more sayings! I’m going to write some of the ones you shared today and place them around my apt. <3
Thank you for reflecting with us and sharing such a personal journey. Your words echoed some things I’ve been feeling — particularly operating from a place of shame and how to alchemize it. Giving you a tight digital squeeze from afar 🫂 because “this too shall pass” (something my friends would remind me back in the day when things were tough).

When I came upon your writing and profile my first thought - after how wonderful, I'm following this - was how can Vlasta be doing it all?
Ahahah! I'm definitely not doing it all:)

I'm so happy to have helped but sad that you could relate! Wishing you a relief from all the troubles ♥️

Makes me happy to hear 🙏🏻♥️
This was so beautifully written Vlasta. I appreciate your vulnerability. This post came at such a critical time for me, like the butterfly for you! 🦋
